A child’s bond with parents is unique and no one can fully substitute their influence on the child’s development. We believe that parental involvement is important in realising a child’s potential.

It is important to think of gifted children as individuals with different needs. Some gifted children think big picture and can easily be bored when they have to learn within the traditional boundaries. Other children with gifts and talents may have asynchronous development, which make it difficult for them to meet their potential. By acknowledging that all children are unique, parental techniques that work for some parents, may not work with others. The key is to know the different characteristics of your children and how to help them.

Our academic director can help you understand your children and recommend specific strategies to help you develop their potential. During our consultation sessions, we will work with the children to find out their talents and areas for improvement. Once we have this understanding, GERC will use the latest research on talent development to help you effectively engage with your children.
