For Children
Children are born curious and just need the right opportunities to develop their potential. Having an exceptional talent is a great starting point, but without the right skills and mental framework, there is a limit to how far the child may be able to grow.
GERC offers a range of activities for them to develop their critical and creative thinking skills, as well as their love for learning.
1. GERC Talent Development Program is modelled after the internationally acclaimed GER2I youth programs from Purdue University. This program consist of interdisciplinary courses based on open-ended activities that are not only fun for the students, but also encourage the development of critical and creative thinking skills.
2. GERC fieldtrips provide opportunities for children to take their learning beyond the classrooms and the books. Designed to engage the children more deeply in their areas of interest, the fieldtrips provide opportunities for them to develop analytical and reasoning skills. These sessions are currently held in Singapore only.
3. GERC child consultation service is a customized session for children with gifts and talents. We will conduct Socratic discourse in their areas of interest, new topics, and current affairs. During the session, we will provide prompts and questions to help your children to process the information they read and to ponder deeper about the topic. The focus of this service is to engage your children in an intellectual discussion to develop their thinking and reasoning skills.
